Coffee with the Swans

One morning more than forty years ago I pulled back my tent flap and encountered these dazzling peaks for the first time. They were dappled with sunshine, pines, clouds, and majesty. I was in awe. I pulled myself out, made a cup of coffee, and began a long conversation with the Swan Range. I promised myself then and there that someday I'd live among such glorious mountains. Serendipitously, I live today within a few miles of that very spot...and every morning I pour a cup and carry on my commune with The Swans.
